Courier Mail political journalist, Renee Viellaris, claims that “no-one in Labor believed at the start of February that our cases and death rates would be so low”.
To suggest that the federal opposition would experience a kind of schadenfreude in people contracting and dying from the coronavirus is churlish to say the least. Very few people would have predicted the success we have had and all of us are grateful that our country is doing so well.
Viellaris needs to be reminded that three Labor premiers and two Labor chief ministers made an important contribution to that success and that we’re all in this together.
